South Padre Island - Or Should I Say South "Pawdre"?
South Padre Island was surprisingly dog-friendly! We stayed at the KOA Holiday campgrounds that had a small dog park where we could unleash, and had many dining options because of the plethora of patios.

Check out these awesome patios!
Coconut Jacks
Longboard Bar & Grill
For Breakfast
Catch the sunrise at the beach -- and sneak Fido off the leash before it gets too crowded! We drove across the island to get to the north beach where we could drive right out onto the sand. For Lunch

For Dinner
Gabriella's Italian Grill and Pizzeria. The patio gets crowded, so we recommend going in the evenings when it'll be a little cooler.
Accommodations
The KOA Campground is a great option if you're traveling with your pups, but it gets HOT! Make sure you've got shade set up, water bowls inside and out.
It's a long drive from Austin to South Padre Island and back, so make sure you have plenty of road snacks, water, and bathroom breaks planned for your pup!
